A Feel Good Feeling

Happy Friday, everyone!

I know this has been a long week for me and I am happy the weekend has come.

I had one early class and then headed to the gym for a great workout that had me sweatin’!

- 2 mile interval run, switching from 8.0 speed to 9.0 speed ever other 0.25 of a mile. (This was great.)

Leg Workout:

- Calf Machine: 3 sets, 20 reps

- Hip Adduction: 3 sets, 15 reps

- Hip Abduction: 3 sets, 15 reps

- Dead Lifts: 3 sets, 10 reps

- Wall squats: 2 sets, 50 reps

- Hamstring Ball Curls: 3 sets, 20 reps

I completed my workout with 10 minutes of abs. That interval run was no joke! My heart rate was up the entire time with such high intensity. I loved the feeling after I was done! Here is an interesting article that talks about “Runner’s High” and the amazing feeling one feel’s after a workout. Today I feel extra good, folks. I’m on top of the world (that’s a little ridiculous, I’m sorry). Even coming home to a Weimaraner who took my full bottle of olive oil off my counter didn’t ruin my mood. Needless to say, I have cleaning to do here.

Breakfast

I needed my new obsession: Tina’s “Oatmeal” Minus the Oats. I topped the “oatmeal” with a big blob of drippy, runny, delicious TJ’s almond butter and some strawberries.

This is seriously my new favorite breakfast.

Although the weekend is here, I have a big Cardiac Medical Nutrition test on Tuesday and haven’t started studying yet due to this week’s craziness – it’s a rainy day here so I will probably head out somewhere to do some studying.

  2. I love that speedwork feeling! You do get such a rush when you do super fast intervals. That’s probably my favorite too.

I had a very similar oatmeal recently! Mine was topped with peanut butter and strawberries. :)
