Card Games

I’ve always been a fan of card games. For me, card games bring back wonderful childhood memories. My grandparents lived only 5 minutes from my house and they would come over almost every Friday or Saturday night for dinner. After dinner, Grandma, Grandpa and mom would play cards – usually the game called May I. I would play sometimes, too.

Now since my Grandpa has passed , I truly appreciate those memories made in the kitchen playing card games. A lot of laughs were generated over cards. Grandma liked to… cheat a little (shhh, don’t tell her I told you). She always made it exciting.

This past weekend, Jon and I played card games. He has similar memories of card games; he used to play rummy with his grandmother. So, we decided to play rummy.

I won ;)

Breakfast

Last night I whipped up a batch of overnight oats and topped it with a banana this morning.

I’m going to head to the gym and then I don’t know what today has in store – most likely more packing!

Question: Do you like card games? What is your favorite game to play?

Have a great day!

Comments

  1. My favorite game isn monopoly! My boyfriend and I play it every time we see each other during the summer.

  2. I love card games. My family traveled to a cabin resort on a lake every summer when I was kid (which meant limited tv) so we always played card games. I loved Rummy 500! We would play for hours–such great memories :) It’s so nice to take the time to remember them too!
