I’ve always been a fan of card games. For me, card games bring back wonderful childhood memories. My grandparents lived only 5 minutes from my house and they would come over almost every Friday or Saturday night for dinner. After dinner, Grandma, Grandpa and mom would play cards – usually the game called May I. I would play sometimes, too.
Now since my Grandpa has passed , I truly appreciate those memories made in the kitchen playing card games. A lot of laughs were generated over cards. Grandma liked to… cheat a little (shhh, don’t tell her I told you). She always made it exciting.
This past weekend, Jon and I played card games. He has similar memories of card games; he used to play rummy with his grandmother. So, we decided to play rummy.

Breakfast
Last night I whipped up a batch of overnight oats and topped it with a banana this morning.
I’m going to head to the gym and then I don’t know what today has in store – most likely more packing!
Question: Do you like card games? What is your favorite game to play?
Have a great day!

My favorite game isn monopoly! My boyfriend and I play it every time we see each other during the summer.
I haven’t played that in so long! Such a great game.
I love card games. My family traveled to a cabin resort on a lake every summer when I was kid (which meant limited tv) so we always played card games. I loved Rummy 500! We would play for hours–such great memories
It’s so nice to take the time to remember them too!
So great to remember times like that!
Rummy is so fun……………my grandma loved cards, she would play solataire and we would watch or she’d play kings in the corner with me, never a dull moment!
Sounds like my grandma!
