Good morning!
I’ve been getting adjusted to being home. On Tuesday, I joined a gym around here but I’m not loving it… I think I need to cancel it and find a new one. They just don’t have everything I like to use but the price was right.
Yesterday morning, I headed to the gym before the beach.
I started off with 20 minutes on the treadmill before completing an upper body workout.
Upper Body Workout:
Shoulder Press: 15 reps, 3 sets
Low Rows: 15 reps, 3 sets
Assisted Pull-ups: 8 reps, 2 sets
Bicep Curls: 15 reps, 3 sets
For my abs, I spent about 8 minutes doing planks, oblique twists, and flutter kicks (those are no joke)
Then, it was time to hit the beach. I absolutely love the beach.
It was a gorgeous day and my friends and I even went swimming. I love getting in the ocean. Once I get in, I usually don’t want to get out! I’m like a little kid.
I came home and hung out for a while before a bunch of family arrived for a yummy, Italian dinner. Someone got some swimming in, as well…
Mom made here amazing sauce, meatballs, sausage, pasta, and antipasti. It was all so good!
Yum!
Breakfast
This morning I whipped up a batch of Almond Flour Pancakes but made a few variations. Instead of whole wheat pastry flour, I added oats. Since there was less dry ingredients, I only added an egg white. The texture was dense and delicious, but the original version is still better.
I couldn’t decide what I wanted to top my pancakes with at this moment, but I decided to go with maple syrup. I know, I know… tough decisions.
I’m going to hang out here for the afternoon with my grandma and then go for an afternoon run with Gunner. I am also going to go shopping with my mom and sister later.
Question: Have you ever joined a gym that you don’t like?
See ya!

I hate having to find a new gym… I was spoiled with the gym I belonged to in college–then when I moved back home, I felt lost! Luckily a gym very similar had opened up near my house. The price was more expensive, but in time I realized that it is worth the extra money to have all the amenities and convenience the gym had to offer. Good luck on your search
That’s great! That’s exactly how I feel – I loved my gym at college.
