Good morning!
How’s your Saturday goin’? It’s beautiful here. Breakfast was the same as yesterday morning… I know, I’m boring. I didn’t even take a picture.
I went to the gym and did 20 minutes on the elliptical. I then completed a back and chest workout.
Post-Snack
Apple and almond butter = a beautiful couple.
After my workout I went to Pet Smart to get Gunner some things. He needed food, a new leash, shampoo, and bones.
Those few items… $84 later.
The things we do for our fur babies! I’d rather feed my dog good food and pay a little more, than feed him bad food and pay a lot in the end. His health is so important to me!
There’s nothing like a healthy, happy pup…
Question: What is your necessary splurge in life?
Have a lovely Saturday!

Hi Kerry! Just found your blog and felt the need to say hello! I’m right there with you when it comes to splurging on the pup, my dog is SPOILED! Anyway I noticed you are doing a master in nutrition and was curious as to what your career goals are?
Hi Emily, thanks for reading! My main goal is to become an RD. I just saw that you’re doing your DI now! Congrats! As you know, they’ve become extremely competitive with the rise in nutrition students and I did not got one when I applied. Getting my MS was a goal I’ve had anyways, so I am going to accomplish that first and then apply for my DI again. After I become an RD, I would love to have a private practice and contribute to health magazines.
They are INSANELY competitive. I didn’t get matched my first time applying either, so I was planning on applying again the next year. In the meantime I moved to a new state with my boyfriend, and through some contacts I actually found a new program that was just starting up in South Florida. They were not yet going through the ADA to fill their intern positions so their applicants were all pretty much just from the grapevine. I got so incredibly lucky, it was all just such a coincidence. I’m definitely subsribing to your blog, as I’m interested in (eventually) completing an MS as well!!
That’s great that it worked out for you! I subscribed to yours too! I look forward to following along.
