Hummus

Yesterday I really wanted wanted some hummus and veggie sticks. I used to always make homemade hummus but lately I’ve just been buying store bought. Well, today I decided to make some and it was delicious.

Hummus

Ingredients:

14.5 ounces canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about the juice of one lemon)

1-2 cloves garlic*

1/4 cup tahini

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup olive oil

sea salt, to taste

*start with one clove of garlic and taste, if it needs the second clove then add it

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Serve with veggie sticks, pita, or on top of a salad.

Breakfast

I don’t know where this cereal kick is coming from…

But it’s just so good!

My workout schedule got out of whack this week and the order is different than the plan I had on Sunday. I took a rest day yesterday because my body was sooo sore from circuits. I just did a little yoga/stretching at home. If the weather holds up, I’m going to run with Gunner today. Fingers crossed!

Question: Do you prefer homemade or store bought hummus?

Have a great day!
