Good morning, everyone! How was your weekend?
Things were pretty quiet over here, I tackled a TON of school work and that was about it. Yesterday was Jon’s dad’s birthday so I made him Mama Pea’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars and brought them over. They were a hit!
Living in New York, we are exposed to so many wonderful food choices. Food choices I clearly took advantage of, and came to realize it once I went away to college. There are some great food choices I was able to live without, but others that I truly missed. I’m not talking about super healthy foods here. I’m taking about carb-alicious pizza and bagels. That’s right.
The above picture was this morning’s breakfast
My dad went out in the morning and picked up some amazing bagels from Bagel Cafe in Bay Shore, NY. If you’re a Long Island local, this place has the most amazing, handmade bagels! Go getcha some!
Onto healthier things – I’m going to hit up the gym for a good sweat. Then, I really need to get cracking on this 10-15 page paper I need to write on an intervention plan for Diabetes.
Question: What foods do you love from your home town?
Have a great Monday!

Ohhhh I eat bagels and cream cheese with my eyes closed so I pretend it never happened.. they’re just too good to turn down sometimes.
Hahaha I can never turn them down!
