I hope your weekend was awesome… mine was jam packed!
Saturday
My brother’s fiancé, Angelica, attended The Waldorf School on Long Island K-12. Every year they have a fall festival and this was my first year attending since the past years I’ve been away at college. They also hold alumni soccer games (a female one and then a male one). My brother is not an alumni but on behalf of Angelica’s brothers, who also went to Waldorf, he has played the past 4 years! It’s alumni v. the current school team.
The alumni team was losing, 2-1, before my brother saved the day and scored a goal to tie it up!
They had all sorts of vendors set up on the campus, inside and outside.
Sadly, I did not get any greens/veggies because we weren’t going directly home and I didn’t want them to sit in the car since it was pretty warm out.
Fish Tacos
Ice cream
I’m a sucker for homemade soaps so I wound up buying one called Red Red Wine. Figures!
After we were done looking around, we all headed back to Angelica’s mom’s house for dinner and her birthday celebration! We started with some appetizers that I didn’t take pictures of – chips and dip, olive, salami, sopresatta. Yum.
Dinner was delicious. There were so many choices. I loaded my plated up with Chicken Parmesan, a piece of sausage and a couple of potatoes, green beans, roasted butternut squash and garlic bread.
I went back for some more chicken, it was so tender and yummy!
Angelica opened gifts and then it was time for cake…funfetti cake with cream cheese frosting. Her mom did a great job on it!
It was so good and I was officially stuffed after a piece of that cake and some fruit. I love funfetti cake!
Sunday
On Sunday, Jon and I headed up to Connecticut to his sister Alttara’s house. Connecticut is sooo pretty, especially this time of year! I wish I would have taken pictures but I was actually doing some school work on the ride there. FYI: Looking at a computer in the car may give you a headache!
Alttara and her kids are vegans and we had an awesome vegan meal of wild rice and eggplant stuffed peppers, on a bed of a curry sauce. I wanted to lick my plate clean it was so good! My crappy iPhone picture doesn’t do its justice.
Brother/sister love:
I mean, really. I could not get a normal picture of these two goofballs!
It was a great weekend spent with great family!

I want to duplicate everything you had to eat this weekend, and eat it all. Right now. In one sittings.. all I can say is YUM
