Morning, friends! I hope your weekend was fabulous.
After the 5K on Saturday, my family and I headed out to cut down a Christmas tree.
Major fail. All of the trees just weren’t great. Pre-cut Canadian trees – here we come! We headed to a local place where we usually pick up our tree. Done and done. Wrap it up. We thought this year it would be nice to cut down a tree like we used to when we were young. Good intentions but a failed attempt! It’s okay, we ended up with a pretty lovely tree and spent the entire afternoon/evening decorating away as we listened to Christmas music a la Pandora. How Great Thou Art seriously brings tears to my eyes. Emotional? Why yes, yes I am.
Right after we put everything on. I think it looks pretty good! And this is my favorite ornament…
Oh, I miss Auburn! Our house has been decked out in Christmas decorations but now that we have the tree up, it feels a lot more like Christmas around here! Maybe it will make me want to do some Christmas shopping later….
And, can we just take a moment to look at my 4 legged nephew, Mickey?

My tree is up, and the shopping is done! Well, almost. I have a few stocking stuffers to put up, but for the most part I’m all finished!
