Hi, friends! Happy Friday to you all! This weekend brings some more holiday festivities!
I want to talk about stretching today. I will be honest with you – I don’t stretch very much. Here is a cool little article (beware of the funky animated guy) about some good stretches for runners. I am going to try to incorporate more stretching in my life. I know it can prevent injury and it is so important to loosen our muscles up for runs. Another thing I want to do is invest in a foam roller. Anybody have any good suggestions for a specific one? Let me know!
We are 1/3 of the way done with the 12 Days of Circuits! I’m coming at you guys today with the Fourth Day of Circuits.
Repeat this circuit 2-3x for a great Friday workout! Let me know how it goes
Question: Do you stretch before, after a run or both? Never? Do you have a foam roller?
Have a lovely Friday!

HAHA, sometimes I stretch and sometimes I dont. When I work out on my own I usually dont
That’s funny you say that! When I run with people or am on a team of some sort, I definitely stretch but when I’m alone I just skip it!
Love this! I definitely need to stretch more, too haha:)
Glad I’m not alone!
i always thought i stretched enough til i went running with my friends whos a trainer n he cudnt believe how i barely would stretch before a workout lol def gotta keep adding it in more
I like stretching after a workout. I’m not good about always fitting it in but when I do, I always feel more relaxed since stretching is kind of a cool down. Have a great weekend!
I used to not stretch, but I think that’s how I hurt my back…eek. So I’m definitely making more of a point to do it. I have a foam roller- it’s awesome. Not sure of the brand.
I try to stretch for a few minutes after my workouts, but most of the time, I’m more than ready to hit the shower and make something to eat.
I’m also supposed to be foam rolling, which I haven’t exactly done yet, so let us know which one you end up getting!
I used to be terrible about stretching. Now I stretch before, after, and during a workout! All for different lengths of time and different types of stretches. I’ve found that stretching really does improve my workouts. I can get lower into a squat and stretch further for a deadlift. It also helps recovery time!
I’m so bad about stretching. Often I’ll get the most stretches in at work, in the shower, or while making food haha. I bought a foam roller and I love it, but again I don’t use it enough!
A good goal for 2013, that’s for sure!
