Total Body HIIT

Hi, friends!

Yesterday was the first day of spring – you’d never know it considering there are light flurries trickling from the sky here on Long Island. So not cool. However, you know what is cool? The fact that yesterday was National Ravioli Day. After an amazing yoga class I came home and celebrated by eating some ravioli over a bed of sauteed spinach and sausage on the side. Gosh, I love Italian food!

This morning I set out to complete a total body workout. HIIT (high intensity interval training) has become a great friend of mine. There are endless possibilities which eliminates the chance of a boring workout. I love switching up my workouts day to day, week to week. It’s not only great for the body to do different things, but it’s good for the mind. Before you know it, you’re a sweaty mess and your workout is over! Here are some benefits of HIIT from Shape Magazine.

HIIT

This workout gives bursts of cardio, followed by rest, followed by bursts of strength training for the entire body!

I use the Tabata Pro app whenever I do HIIT. I never have to keep my eyes on the clock, which means more dedication to my training. You can change each timing to fit your workout, as well as the number of cycles. Below is how I set up this mornings workout.

Let me know if you try it!

Question: Are you a fan of HIIT?

Enjoy your day :)
